A Note from Pastor Michael

Dear Friends,

On behalf of the congregation of the Hope Baptist Church, welcome to our site. We are pleased to offer a glimpse of who we are. Please use the tabs [above] to find out more about us.

This church exists for the glory of God. We believe in Jesus of Nazareth as Savior and Lord, and that belief enables us to serve together, love one another, and love our neighbors. We are ordinary people, who aim to display the extraordinary greatness of God. Our passion is to love and serve Jesus Christ together and help others to do the same.

We would love to show you how God has changed our lives with the gospel. We want to show His greatness by how we hear and apply His Word in our lives, by how we sing and pray and serve God together, here in Mankato, with brothers and sisters of all ages, backgrounds, and occupations.

We do hope you find the site helpful in getting to know us. You can get to know us even better by joining us in person, when we gather each Sunday to worship God. If you prefer first to contact us through this site, we will try to serve you by answering your particular question or need.

Cordially in Christ,

Michael Indorf

A Typical Sunday

We gather each Sunday morning at 10:30 to worship our God

We Sing - We sing a mix of modern and traditional hymns that are Christ centered and Gospel saturated. Singing is an important way for us to praise God together.

We Pray - We have several times of prayer during the service. We are completely dependent on God for everything in this life and the next. In prayer, we praise Him for who He is, seek His forgiveness, and ask that He would be at work in our church, community and world.

We Listen - God has spoken to us in the Bible and we want to hear His truth. The sermon is driven by exposition, meaning the main point of the sermon is the main point of the Scripture being taught. Generally, a series of sermons may last several months covering all or part of a book of the Bible.

Nursery is available during the worship service for preschool aged children but you are always welcome to keep your children with you in the service.

Before our Sunday morning worship service we have Sunday school classes at 9:15am for people of all ages.

A Typical Week

Besides our Sunday morning services, we have a variety of men's, women's and youth Bible studies throughout the week.
