| The Frontline youth ministry is committed to teaching the next generation about the risen Savior who loves them deeply and desires to have an intimate relationship with them for a lifetime. Through studying God’s word, engaging in open discussions, worship, prayer, scripture memorization, and service, we seek to equip students to stand strong on the frontline of their culture. | |

| “Our research...confirmed...the relationship with their parents, and their parents’ faith practices, matter most in shaping kids’ faith. But beyond that, our research shows that the presence or absence of a good church youth group - of committed, loving, discipling youth pastors - can make a huge difference in kids’ lives.” -Dr. Christian Smith, lead researcher for The National Study of Youth and Religion | |

| Many young people of the 21st century are daily immersed in a world of MP3 players, text messages, and a seemingly unending smorgasbord of entertainment options. They are bombarded with images of sensuality, over-indulgence, and an ultimate celebration of “self” [not exactly what a developing, sometimes self-centered teen really needs!] Sadly, what many of them are not hearing is that they are special and unique, due to the Lord’s design. Our youth aren’t exposed to the beauty and power of purity nor do they have anyone to show them the true joy of emptying oneself out for One who is greater. | |

| What does a Frontline disciple look like? What makes this student distinct or set apart from one who doesn’t know Christ? | |
| We feel five descriptive qualities will become present. The Frontline student is: | |
| 1. | Hungry for God’s Word. |
| 2. | Willing to serve others with no reward in sight. |
| 3. | One who sees the importance of being an active part of what God is doing in the church. |
| 4. | Committed to prayer. |
| 5. | One who desires to see others come to Christ. They are burdened for the lost! |
| We’re seeking to create students who are: | |
| hungry, | prayer-dependent, |
| involved, | self-less, |
| and urgent to impact their surrounding environment. | |
| Theme Verse: |
“Therefore, I urge you brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God - this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is - his good, pleasing and perfect will.” Romans 12:1-2 |
